We met Thomas (owner) through my mom as he was helping her with her generator and I called him to look at our thermostat as it had gone out I believe in 2021.  He and his wife, Briana (owner) took care of that no problem through a warranty claim and it has worked great ever since.

We had an issue with our ductwork being ruined by the last two hurricanes as it was under our house and needed a solution to stop paying through the noise to replace it every time it floods.  We wanted to go up but as you can see we don’t have an attic and so it had to be exposed.  We knew about the industrial ductwork but was told by several a/c companies that it would be way too expensive and most of the companies couldn’t handle a job this size.  I called Thomas too see if he would be interested and he and his brother, Jesse, were really excited about the opportunity to come and check it out.  Unlike all the other companies when they saw what they were up against, they rose to the challenge and gave us a quote within two weeks, which was very reasonable considering the amount of work, materials and scope of the job.  They also told us it would be completed once the material was in,  get this, in 4 days!!!  That sealed the deal for us.  Thomas asked for 50% down and the remaining at the time the job done.

Materials were ordered and once it started coming in, Thomas and Jesse came out to show us the size and quality of the ductwork and measured to get a game plan for having everything they needed to be ready to get the job done.  They even brought the team in to discuss the job before starting so that everyone could agree on the perfect way to make this happen.

I’m very picky about things looking the way I vision them and so I knew I wanted them black to fit the theme of our house.  Thomas contracted the painting and the construction of the doghouse for ductwork outside through J and J Shadow Services , which John and his son, John, did an amazing job, Briana made sure that once the ductwork was painted they were safe and not ruined along with all the other tasks but it would take too long to mention.   They stored all the material at their shop until time to install.

When it came to the install, the crew was here very early, I think at 8:30 am most days and stayed till after 7pm each night.  I came home from work everyday and couldn’t believe how much work was completed each time and then at the end of the day was another surprise.  Jesse and Thomas were very diligent in making sure that all the screws, joints and every part of the ductwork was painted black and Thomas, Jesse, Briana and the crew made sure I was satisfied during every step of the way.  That included removing vents and changing them up to look the way I wanted, fixing the angle of the ductwork coming down off the main pipe and coming up with the perfect ideas of how to make the industrial commercial ductwork be a piece of art for our home.

When doing commercial a/c, companies don’t necessarily worry about everything looking perfect but they made it happen for us.

The added bonus to it all is that they are local, have beautiful families and believe in God.  We feel blessed to have had Acme AC and Generator help us with our situation and will never use another a/c company.

It's been a year now, and I can tell you that my power bill dropped from 30% to 40%, depending on the month. I love how consistently cool it keeps our home. During the recent cold snap I was nervous about turning the heat on, but it works great and kept us nice and warm.

The system runs so quietly that you barely hear it. The outside unit is near our porch, and it sounds like a small fan running in the distance. They did a beautiful job installing the system and even added a new slab and enclosed all the outside wiring to protect it from my lawn crew.
